How often does your cost of health care go down?

At a time when most health care providers are announcing double digit increases, Manitowoc Surgery Center and Benham Surgical Health Care have reduced fees 25-30% effective April 1, 2010. While these are difficult times for health care providers, we have carefully evaluated our efficiencies and negotiating power with our insurance networks. We believe that these reductions are fair, appropriate and urgent to pass along to our patients.

Get the most accurate price comparisons

Savvy consumers have figured out how to compare prices for surgical procedures among different providers and facilities online at www.pricepoint.org and other independent tracking organizations. However, price reporting on these sources may be up to 6 months old. So, you’ll need to check our website or call us to find out how low our fees are currently. See below for a comparison of some of our most common procedures.

Remember, that the total cost of your surgical procedure will include our facility fee, your surgeon’s fee, anesthesia as well as any necessary tests. Check out the Planning Surgery section of our website for more information.

If you are not insured or have a high deductible plan, it’s extremely important to shop carefully for your health care services, using the most current data.

How are we more efficient?

At Manitowoc Surgery Center, all we do is outpatient surgery. We focus on excellence in this specific area and are constantly seeking to improve on the high value that we offer.

We take pride that we have negotiated contracts with most major insurers and that insurers are now pursuing us to be part of their networks. We also capitalize on group purchasing contracts and careful cost management by case which takes into account your particular needs and your physician’s specific plans for your procedure.

Frequently, our staff reviews case management and examines ways to improve our service and operate more efficiently.

Locally owned and managed, there’s no outside management company taking profits or driving up our costs.

Why are we so transparent with our pricing?

Health care is a major expense. We want you to be informed. If we do not offer you the best value for your surgical procedure, we want to know so that we can improve our service.

We believe it’s our responsibility to provide you with complete information about all aspects of your procedure, your options and your costs including what your insurer will pay and what you will pay. You’ll have an upfront written quote.

We are partners in your care and seek to earn and keep your confidence.
